All persons selling or offering for sale, bartering, exchanging or soliciting from door-to- door, without an appointment, the purchase or gift of any goods, merchandise or other articles of value or money or soliciting homes on a random door-to-door basis without any appointment for any business, educational, civic, religious or charitable purpose within the Village shall do so only during daylight hours, but in no event before 9:00 a.m. or after 8:00 p.m.
