A weighperson operates the scales at the city landfill; collects tipping fees for unloading; makes routing mathematical calculations to determine weights; collects and makes change for accurate fees; maintains records and reports; prepares monthly invoices; monitors incoming wastes to insure compliance with permit; ascertains if individuals are authorized to use the facilities; gives advice and information regarding disposition of items not acceptable; enforces § 50.16; answers telephones; greets visitors; cleans and maintains entrance at landfill, scales, building and the like.
