4-2-6: CONTAMINATED RECYCLABLE WASTES:
   A.   Where a household unit's recycle bin contains items that are not recyclable waste, as such "waste" is defined in section 4-2-1 of this chapter, it is contaminated. Contaminated bins will not be collected or sorted by the village contractor.
   B.   No household unit shall provide a contaminated recycle bin for collection. A household unit failing to abide by this section will be notified of such failure by the contractor's placement of a sticker or other notification device on the recycle bin and by the noncollection of its contaminated recyclable waste. The village contractor shall cease collecting recyclable waste from any household unit that provides a contaminated recycle bin for collection three (3) times within any twelve (12) month period.
   C.   A household unit wishing to dispute the noncollection of recyclable waste pursuant to this section may petition the village board for a hearing for continued service where it must prove it did not violate this chapter by providing a contaminated recycle bin for collection three (3) times within a twelve (12) month period.
