1420.05  AMENDMENTS.
   The current edition of the BOCA National Building Code, as adopted in Section 1420.01, is hereby amended as follows:
BOCA Sec. 101.2 Exemptions:
      The following sentence shall be added: Structures, actively in use for  agriculture, shall be exempted.
BOCA Sec. 104.1 Repairs:
   The word "bearing" shall be inserted between the words "any" and "wall" in the first paragraph, to read "any bearing wall."
BOCA Sec. 114.3.1. Fee schedule:
   The following shall supplement this section:
BUILDING FEE SCHEDULE
Residential - Building Permit Fees
   (a)   *Dwelling - $10.00 plus $1.00 per 100 sq. ft.
   (b)   *Occupancy permit fee - $10.00
   (c)   Attached garages - $10.00 plus $1.00 per 100 sq. ft.
   (d)   Additions and alterations - $10.00 per structure and $1.00 per 100 sq. ft.
   (e)   Moving of buildings - $1.00 per 100 sq. ft. of the building or structure, plus $10.00 for the construction of a new foundation and/or the location of a building thereon
   *Additional copies - $1.00
   Electrical Permit Fees
   (a)   Basic fee   $5.00
   (b)   Service entry per 100 amps   2.00
   (c)   Service relocation, each   5.00

   (b)   In addition to the fee set forth in paragraph (a) hereof, there shall be a charge of one hundred dollars ($100.00) payable to the City for the closing of each connection between a structure to be demolished and the sanitary sewerage system of the City.
   (c)   In addition to the fees set forth in paragraphs (a) and (b) hereof, there shall be a deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) made to the City for each structure to be demolished, which deposit shall be returned upon completion of the cleaning of the site and the filling of any excavation within the time limits provided in Section 1444.02.
   Fireplace Permits
   (a)   Standard or freestanding   5.00

BOCA 117.4 Violation penalties:
   The blanks shall be completed by insertion of the words: "misdemeanor of the third degree"; "five hundred dollars ($500.00)"; and "sixty (60) days."
BOCA Sec. 118.2 Unlawful continuance:
   The applicable phrase shall read as follows: "...shall be liable to be punished as provided in Section 117.4."
BOCA Sec. 124.2.1 Qualifications of board members:
   The word "each" shall be changed to the word "three (3)." The word "member" shall be changed to the plural word "members." The first sentence shall thus read, in pertinent part, "Three members shall be ..."
BOCA Sec. 201.0 GENERAL DEFINITIONS.
   The definition of "agriculture" shall be added to this section, as follows:
   Agriculture: Farming, dairying, pasturage, horticulture, floriculture, viticulture and animal and poultry husbandry.
BOCA ARTICLE 28 PLUMBING SYSTEMS
   Article 28 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
BOCA Sec. 2906.1 Filing:
   The first blank shall be completed by the insertion of the words "one thousand dollars ($1,000)." The second blank shall be completed by the insertion of the words "three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000)." The third blank shall be completed by the insertion of the words "fifty thousand dollars ($50,000)."
BOCA Sec. 2907.2.1 Wind:
   This section is amended to read as follows: The effect of special local wind pressures shall be thoroughly considered in the design, but in no case shall the wind load be assumed less than thirty (30) pounds per square foot of new exposed area for roof signs, thirty (30) pounds per square foot for ground signs over thirty-five (35) feet in height and twenty (20) pounds per square foot for ground signs not more than thirty-five (35) feet in height.
