The Division of Fire shall protect the lives and property of the residents of the City in case of fire and shall also perform other duties as prescribed by ordinance or directed by appropriate administrative personnel. The Division may have an authorized strength of forty individuals, consisting of a maximum of eight full-time employees and balance of part-paid employees, in addition to members of the Auxiliary Firefighters Unit. Composition of the Division shall be set forth in this chapter.
