Promotion within the Fire Department to the position of station firefighter shall be made from the most qualified volunteer firefighter with five years or more experience in the Gallipolis Fire Department. The successful applicant must be certified by the State of Ohio as Level II (Professional Level) firefighter. If no applicants are qualified, then the position will be open to the public.
