947.15 SERVICE OF WRITTEN NOTICE; ACTION BY CITY MANAGER.
   The City Manager or his designee shall cause a written notice to be served in the manner provided by Ohio R.C. 731.52 or any other method determined by the City Manager or his designee, upon the owner, lessee or agent of the owner or tenant of such property, notifying such persons to prune any tree or shrub or to remove any dead, diseased or dangerous trees, or broken or decayed limbs overhanging any street or right of way within the City. The pruning or the removal of dead, diseased or dangerous trees, or broken or decayed limbs which constitute a menace to the public safety or public convenience shall be done by such owners at their expense within thirty days of service of notice. Upon failure of such persons to comply with such notice, the City Manager or his designee shall direct the pruning of any tree or shrub or the removal of any dead, diseased or dangerous trees, or broken or decayed limbs which constitute a menace to the safety or convenience of the public and may employ the necessary labor for such purposes and expend public funds for that purpose.
