Each User shall provide protection from accidental discharges of substances regulated by this chapter. These facilities must be upgraded or constructed to meet approval of the City.
User shall notify the City immediately upon the occurrence of accidental discharge of substances prohibited by this chapter. The notification shall include location of discharge, date and time thereof, type, concentration, and volume of waste, and corrective actions. Any User who discharges a slug load of prohibited materials shall be liable for any expense, loss, or damage to the POTW, in addition to the amount of any fines imposed on the City under state or federal law as a result of the slug load.
