(a) Failure to comply with an order to correct the conditions required in that order pursuant to this chapter shall be punishable as a minor misdemeanor under Section 501.99; each day the order is not complied with shall constitute a separate offense.
(b) As an alternative or addition to the above subsection (a), when a person to whom an order is directed pursuant to this chapter fails to comply within the specified time, the City Manager or his designee may remedy the condition or contract with others for such purpose and charge the cost thereof to the person to whom the order is directed. The person remedying a condition under contract made hereunder is hereby authorized to enter any premises for that purpose.
(c) If the cost of remedying the condition pursuant to subsection (b) hereof is not paid within five days after receipt of a statement therefor, the City may proceed to collect the cost by court action or levy a special assessment against the property upon which the condition existed, pursuant to the provisions of Ohio R.C. Chapter 727.
