(A) Prior to any license application, all food peddlers and transient merchants must meet the requirements of the Health Department. An application fee of $15 will be charged to every applicant.
(B) If the application is approved, the fee will be deducted from the price of the license. If a license is not granted the fee is non-refundable. An application in writing shall be filed with the City Clerk for a license under this chapter. Such application shall set forth the applicant’s name, Social Security number, permanent and local address, business address, if any, the last three places of such business and the length of time sought to be covered by the license. Peddlers, transient merchants and transient merchant plaza sponsors must provide proof of liability insurance as provided in § 4-4-10 of this chapter and a state sales tax ID number.
(C) Upon application, the City Clerk has at least 24 hours in which to verify the information given on the said application. The city has the right to deny any permit based on the result of the verification.
