§ 116.28 FEE FOR LICENSE.
The fee for such license shall be $250 for an annual license. In addition, each licensee shall post a surety bond of $500 per employee or shall deposit cash with the office of the City Clerk in the amount of $500 per employee; the bond or deposit shall be held to ensure the annual filing of tax returns with the city. The annual tax return filed by the general peddler shall, in addition to all other schedules and information provided thereon, contain a schedule of each item of merchandise sold by such peddler and its sale price. If the tax return, together with the required schedule of merchandise sold and the sales price thereof, is not filed, of if the occupational taxes are not paid, then the City Clerk is authorized to apply the amount of cash or deposit towards the estimated tax due or to proceed against the surety for the amount of the estimated tax. After all taxes have been paid, the Office of the City Clerk is authorized to refund all amounts held or to release the surety on the bond provided no other legal claims are made to the fund. This subchapter shall take effect upon its passage and publication according to law.
