(A) Any person violating any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is prescribed shall be subject to § 10.99.
(B) Any person violating or failing to conform to any of the provisions of § 50.02 shall, upon conviction for a first offense, be fined in any sum not less than $50, nor more than more than the sum of $100. For a second offense, any person violating or failing to conform to any of the provisions of § 50.02 shall have the water service connection to the premises where the water was being used in violation of § 50.02 disconnected for a length of time as prescribed by a court of competent jurisdiction. In addition, after a second conviction, a reconnect fee of $20 shall be collected.
(C) Any person, firm or corporation responsible for damage or destruction of any fire hydrant (violation of § 50.15) shall be responsible for the cost of replacement or repair and a fine of $100, or up to 60 days imprisonment.
(D) Any person, firm or corporation found to violate § 50.16 shall be subject to a fine of $100 or up to 60 days imprisonment for the act of vandalizing a water system in accordance with KRS 96.340.
(E) Any person, firm or corporation that opens a fire hydrant without a permit (violating § 50.18) will be subject to prosecution and a fine of $100 or up to 60 days imprisonment.
(F) Any building owner who fails to comply with the provisions of §§ 50.55 and 50.56 within the time limits set forth hereinabove shall be subject to a fine of not less than $50, nor more than $250 per day that the violation exists beyond the time limits set forth above and/or any extensions granted by the city. The Code Enforcement Officer or Water Distribution Superintendent is/are hereby given the authority to issue citations in accordance with the provisions of §§ 50.55 and 50.56.
