Animal Control Officers and peace officers of the county may issue citations to the owners of animals for violations of §§ 91.20 through 91.23 above, in lieu of impounding the animal. When such a citation is issued, an appearance date of not less than ten days and not more than 45 days shall be entered by the officer on the citation.
