(A) No person shall keep refuse for collection in quantities greater than a week’s accumulation typical of residential units. Refuse of more than one residential unit, or nonresidential unit shall not be brought to another residential unit for collection. Refuse containers shall not be left at the collection site or be visible from the front of the premises on any day other than the collection day.
(B) No person shall place construction and/or demolition materials for collection by the village’s licensed hauler. The owner-occupant having such materials shall make other arrangements for their disposal.
(C) All refuse must be stored for collection in a container of the type and quality as specified in § 112.09.

Every owner-occupant of any residential unit shall place refuse for collection by the village licensed hauler as follows:
(A) Refuse shall be stored in approved bags or containers for collection once each week on the day of the week published by the village for the collection of refuse.
(B) Refuse containers shall be either supplied by the hauler for the selected service type or placed in durable plastic garbage bags.
(C) Refuse containers shall be placed at a position on the premises which is near the public street contiguous to the front yard of the premises, and where practicable, not farther than five feet from the traveled portion of the roadway. Refuse containers shall not be placed upon a public sidewalk. Owner-occupants of apartments located above business establishments whose landlords have not made arrangements for refuse removal from an apartment may place their containers adjacent to the container of the business establishment.
(D) The maximum weight of a bag or container when filled for collection shall not exceed 50 pounds, including the weight of the container. The weight of a poly cart and its contents shall not exceed 200 pounds.
(E) All refuse containing sharp objects shall be sufficiently wrapped so as to prevent any injury to the collector of such refuse by protrusion through the container.

Refuse collection shall occur on Tuesday of each week, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Contractor recognizes the following major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas day. Collections scheduled on the observed holidays and the rest of the week following the holiday will be delayed by one day.

It shall be the duty of any owner-occupant to notify the village if the premises are being vacated between billing periods and to pay for any service rendered during a partial month as though the service were rendered for the entire month. It shall be the further duty of any owner-occupant to contact the village in order to substitute the name of a successor owner-occupant.
