10-3-2: STREETS:
   A.   All rights of way shall conform to the following minimum width dimensions:
Primary streets
100 feet
Secondary streets
100 feet
Collector streets
80 feet
Industrial streets
80 feet
Minor industrial streets
80 feet
Minor streets
66 feet
Cul-de-sac streets
66 feet
Cross walkways
15 feet
Utility easements

   B.   Clear visibility, measured along the centerline of all streets, shall be provided for at least three hundred fifty feet (350') for primary streets, three hundred feet (300') for secondary and collector streets, and one hundred fifty feet (150') for all other streets.
   C.   It must be evidenced that all street intersections and confluences encourage safe traffic flow.
   D.   Alleys shall not be permitted.
   E.   Unless otherwise shown on the official plan map, the arrangement of streets in a subdivision shall either:
      1.   Provide for the continuation of appropriate projection of existing primary and secondary streets in the surrounding areas; or
      2.   Conform to a plan for the neighborhood approved or adopted by the plan commission to meet a particular situation where topographic or other conditions make such continuation or projection impractical.
   F.   Where a subdivision abuts or contains an existing or proposed primary street, all lots shall front upon a minor, secondary or collector street. The plan commission may require screen planting or other such treatment as may be necessary to screen the primary street activities from the subdivision to promote the realization of the official plan or to provide for the health, safety, comfort and convenience of the residents of the village and contiguous territory by protection of residential properties and the separation of through and local traffic.
   G.   No street names shall be used which will duplicate or be confused with the names of existing streets.
   H.   The distance between intersections of any primary street by collector or secondary streets within a proposed subdivision or any such intersection abutting on a proposed subdivision shall not be less than one thousand two hundred fifty feet (1,250'). (Ord. O-11-98, 3-9-1998)
