A. Any person who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with the provisions of this title, shall, upon conviction, be fined as provided in the general penalty in section 1-3-1 of this code for each offense. Each day that a violation occurs shall constitute a separate offense. (April 1969; amd. 2004 Code)
B. In case any building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted or maintained, or any building, structure or land is used in violation of this title, in addition to other remedies, the director of public health and safety or other authorized village official may institute any proper action or proceedings in the name of the village to prevent such unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance or use, to restrain, correct or abate such violation, to prevent the use, to prevent the occupancy of said building, structure or land, or prevent any illegal act, conduct, business or use in or about said premises.
