6-11-1: DEFINITIONS:
For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning:
   HEARING OFFICER: An attorney licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois for a period in excess of three (3) years, appointed by the village to serve and preside as the hearing officer for the village's administrative adjudication hearing system.
   MOTOR VEHICLE: Every vehicle which is self-propelled as defined by the Illinois vehicle code, except a vehicle which is propelled by electric power obtained from overhead trolley wires, but not operated upon rails, vehicles moved solely by human power, and motorized wheelchairs.
   OWNER OF RECORD: The record titleholder to a motor vehicle, as registered with the secretary of state of the state of Illinois or any other applicable governmental agency. (Ord. O-29-16, 11-14-2016)
