A. Powers And Duties:
1. The commissioner of public property shall have charge of and supervision over the care, custody and recovery of all village property not otherwise specially assigned. The commissioner of public property shall have charge of the repair and maintenance of the village hall and all village buildings and of the grounds connected therewith, all aboveground utilities and the direction of the lighting of streets, alleys, public grounds, public places, municipal buildings, and all other public lighting provided for by ordinance. The commissioner of public property shall also have authority over and be in charge of the construction, repair and maintenance of all playgrounds. All persons employed by and assigned to the department of public property shall be under the supervision and direction of the commissioner thereof.
B. Rules: Said commissioner shall make and enforce such rules and regulations, not inconsistent with the law or ordinances, as may be necessary to secure efficient conduct in service of his department and the business thereof. (Ord. O-36-04, 9-13-2004)
