In the event of a violation of the provisions of this chapter, the village clerk shall issue a notice to the distributor to correct the violation. The notice shall be delivered verbally and confirmed in writing. In the event of failure of the distributor to correct the violation within five (5) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and all legal holidays, after the mailing of said notice, the village clerk shall remove the newspaper vending machine or stand and dispose of the machine or stand as in the case of abandoned machines or stands set forth in section 3-6-6 of this chapter.
