All appointments to the Planning and Zoning Commission shall be made by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council. All members of the Planning and Zoning Commission shall reside within the Village at the time of their appointment, and a member who moves outside of the Village shall not longer be eligible to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission. One of the members so appointed shall be named as chairperson by the Mayor at the time of appointment. The Mayor and Council shall have the power to remove any member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for cause after public hearing. Vacancies shall be filled by the Mayor and Council as soon as possible for the unexpired term of any member whose place has become vacant. In the absence of the chairperson, an acting chairperson shall be appointed by the members of the Planning and Zoning Commission then present. (Ord. O-20-22, 5-9-2022)
