1-9-2: MAPS AND PLATS:
   A.   Requirements: No map, plat or subdivision of any block, lot, sublot or part thereof, or any piece or parcel of land to be admitted within the corporate limits of said village, shall be approved by the village council until all the following requirements have been complied with: All streets, alleys, avenues or other public ways designated on such map, plat or subdivision shall be located as near as practicable to correspond and connect with the other established streets, alleys, avenues or other public ways in the vicinity, and also to admit to proper grades, sewerage and surface drainage conformable to any system of grades. All such streets, avenues, or other public ways shall be properly graded and drained in conformity therewith. (Village Code § 2-12)
   B.   Form: Such map, plat or subdivision shall be acknowledged by the owner or owners of the land sought to be platted, as provided by the general laws of the state of Illinois; said owners shall make oath that they believe that they are the owners in fee of the property described in said map or plat and shall deposit with the village clerk, collector and comptroller a sufficient sum of money to pay the fees of the recorder of Cook County, Illinois, for recording the same.
