Grease, oil and sand interceptors shall be provided for restaurants, cafes, inns, motels, hotels, churches, meeting halls, breweries, laundries, service stations, auto repair shops, carwashes, product manufacturers, disposers of septic wastes, individual plants and other facilities when, in the opinion of the Director, they are necessary for the proper handling of liquid wastes containing grease or oil in excess amounts or any flammable wastes, sand and other harmful ingredients, except that the interceptors shall not be required for private living quarters or dwelling units.
