(A)
In the absence or disability of both the Mayor and Vice-Mayor, the Council meeting shall be called to order by the Town Clerk, whereupon, the Town Clerk shall immediately call for the selection of a temporary presiding officer. The Council members present shall, by majority vote, select a temporary presiding officer for that meeting, who shall have all the powers, duties and responsibilities of the Mayor during his or her absence or disability.
(B) Upon arrival of the Mayor or Vice-Mayor, the Vice-Mayor or temporary presiding officer shall immediately relinquish the chair upon the conclusion of the business immediately before the Town Council.
