(A) The Kentucky Standards of Safety Fire Prevention Code as revised and updated effective September 11, 1990, by the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction and the Office of the State Fire Marshall, together with the standards and codes incorporated therein, shall be and the same is hereby approved and adopted by the city and shall be applicable to the construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of buildings or structures within the city.
(B) All subsequent amendments or revisions to the Kentucky Standards of Safety Fire Prevention Code adopted in this division (A) and the codes and standards incorporated therein which are approved by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction and the Office of the Kentucky State Fire Marshall, or their successors in office, shall be as the date of such approval, automatically adopted and applicable and enforceable in the city.
