§ 26-2  LICENSES, REGISTRATION AND FEES.
   (a)   Licensed by State of Michigan.  All persons, not included in subsection (b) of this section, engaged in trades and professions licensed by the State of Michigan must register such license with the Development Division (formerly the Building and Safety Inspection Office) before performing any work in the City and pay a fee hereby specified to the Development Division for the license to be registered.
   (b)   Licensed by the City of Flint.
      (1)   All sewer and drain layers, sign hangers, and commercial builders, as defined by the Code of the City of Flint, seeking to obtain or renew a license must be approved and licensed by the City Clerk and register that license with the Development Division (formerly the Building and Safety Inspection Office) before performing any work within the City, and pay a fee hereby specified to the City Clerk for the license to be obtained or renewed.
      (2)   All licenses described in § 26-2 of the Code of the City of Flint shall be effective for one year. All sewer and drain layers licenses will be effective through December 31 of the year that the license is renewed. All sign hangers and commercial builders licenses will be effective through April 30 of the year that the license is renewed.
   (c)   Fees.  The registration fee and license fee shall be established from time to time by resolution of the City Council, kept on file by the City Clerk, and contained in Appendix A of the City Code. The registration and the license shall be effective until the expiration of the license.
