§ 1-150  CITY EMPLOYEE TO TAKE A LEAVE OF ABSENCE WITHOUT PAY UPON COMPLYING WITH FILING REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTIVE OFFICER.
   Every nonelective officer or employee of the City of Flint who becomes a candidate for any elective office created by the Charter of the City of Flint shall apply for, and shall receive, a leave of absence without pay during the period of candidacy. The period of candidacy shall begin when the employee complies with the candidacy filing requirements and shall end when the candidate is either defeated or takes office. No City employee shall be required to commence a leave of absence more than sixty (60) days before the date of any election relating to the position regardless of whether the period of candidacy has commenced.
