Installation of the water service shall be installed in accordance with the State of Michigan Plumbing Code, Chapter 15, Subsections P-1504.2, P-1502.2 and Chapter 36 of this Code of ordinances. The trenching for the water service from the water main or curb box to the meter shall be dug by a City-licensed water, sewer and drain layer under a permit from Engineering and Building and Safety Inspections. He or she shall contract the installation of the water service to the City’s Water Department. Backfill of the trench shall conform to P-308.5 of the BOCA National Plumbing Code and Chapter 36 of this Code of ordinances.
