All materials which may be infectious such as bandages, dressings, sputum cups, soiled tissues and the like from hospitals, clinics, convalescent homes, nursing homes, doctor’s offices or any other source shall be burned in an incinerator approved by the Department of Building and Safety. Where incineration approval cannot be granted by the Department of Building and Safety, these infectious materials shall be wrapped and placed into the rubbish receptacles or otherwise disposed of in a manner acceptable to the Director of Health.
