§ 37-3  APPLICATION FOR PERMIT TO SET POLES.
Except as emergency conditions may require, no poles shall be placed in any public street, alley or other public place in the City without first making written application to the Electrical Inspector and the Director of Public Works and Utilities. The application shall be accompanied with a sketch or be a sketch with impression for approvals to be entered thereon and shall be prepared in duplicate. The sketch should show the locations of the applicant’s proposed poles and the locations of existing poles situated within 150 feet of the proposed poles. The approvals of the Electrical Inspector and the Director of Public Works and Utilities shall constitute and be all the authority required for installation of poles and equipment. One of the applications including map or sketch, after approval, is to be placed on file in the office of the Electrical Inspector and the other application and map or sketch returned promptly to the applicant with approvals or disapproval entered thereon. In the case of emergencies requiring the installations shall be subsequently covered by application as above prescribed and be subject to review and approval or rejection by the Electrical Inspector and Director of Public Works and Utilities.
