(a) The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, for the purchase of Police professional liability insurance.
(b) Such insurance shall be in the amounts determined by the Mayor to be prudent, but no less than one million dollars ($1,000,000) for each person and one million dollars ($1,000,000) for each incident.
(c) The Finance Director is hereby authorized to make payment for such insurance coverage from funds hereinbefore or hereinafter properly appropriated.
