§ 35.002 PERMITS AND CERTIFICATES NOT LICENSES; VALIDITY; TRANSFERABILITY.
   (A)   Permits and certificates not construed to be licenses. No permit or certificate of inspection required by this subchapter for which a fee is collected shall be construed to be a license to engage in any business for which a license is required by law.

   (B)   Validity. The validity of permits and certificates of inspection issued pursuant to the provisions of this subchapter shall remain contingent upon strict compliance with the laws of the state and the city, and such permits and certificates of inspection may be revoked or canceled when it becomes evident that such laws are not being strictly complied with.

   (C)   Transferability. No permit or certificate of inspection issued pursuant to the provisions of this subchapter shall be transferable, nor shall any such permit or certificate of inspection be assignable.
