When reference is made to the duties of certain officials named in any of the codes adopted by this part, the designated official of the City who has duties corresponding to those of the named official in the code shall be deemed to be the responsible official insofar as enforcing the provisions of the code is concerned. The terms electrical inspector, plumbing inspector, and gas inspector, whenever used in this Code shall each refer to the building inspector unless a separate inspector has been appointed. (1984 Code)
