15-2002:   LICENSE FEES; LIABILITY INSURANCE:
   A.   Fees Imposed: For each owner or operator of a taxicab operated within the City for the carrying of passengers for hire, an annual License Tax of one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be charged and collected from the owner or operator. For each additional taxicab operated by a company, a fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) will be charged.
   B.   Insurance Requirements: No license shall be issued for the operation of a taxicab until the owner thereof makes satisfactory proof to the Community Services Director of liability insurance having been secured for each taxicab in the sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) for each individual who may be injured, three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) minimum liability for any one accident or collision, and one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) liability for property damage for any one accident, and one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) for uninsured motorists. The policy shall provide that it cannot be cancelled until ten (10) days' written notice of the proposed cancellation has been filed with the City Clerk. The owner must provide documentation from the insurance provider that the policy covers commercial taxi service.
   C.   Annual License: All licenses shall be issued on an annual basis under the signature of the City Mayor or his designated representative. (Ord. 12-11-3, 11-5-2012)
