The city is located within the proposed district to be served by a multi-county library, established and created under the laws of the state in accordance with the Oklahoma Library Code, to include the following counties: McIntosh, Muskogee, Adair, Sequoyah, Cherokee and Delaware, recognized as the Eastern Oklahoma District Library System.
