§ 150.03 APPLICATION OF KRS CHAPTER 198B EXTENDED TO SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLINGS.
   Pursuant to the authority of KRS 198B.010(5), the application of KRS Chapter 198B entitled Housing, Buildings and Construction - Building Code is hereby extended to those single-family dwellings exempted under KRS 198B.010(4).

INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE
§ 150.15 2006 INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE ADOPTED BY REFERENCE WITH REVISIONS AND AMENDMENTS.
   (A)   Pursuant to the authority of KRS 83A.060(5), the 2006 International Property Maintenance Code, a copy of which accompanies Ord. 2341, is hereby made a part of the permanent records of the city; and the provisions thereof are hereby adopted by reference thereto, without setting them out in full, but with the revisions and amendments hereinafter provided.
   (B)   The 2006 International Property Maintenance Code (2006 IPMC) is hereby amended as follows, with the words and numbers being added indicated by a single solid line beneath them, and the words and numbers being deleted indicated by a single broken line through them, as required by KRS 83A.060(3):
      (1)   Section 101.1 on page 1 thereof is hereby amended as follows:
101.1 Title. These regulations shall be known as the Property Maintenance Code of the City of Erlanger, hereinafter referred to as “this code”.
      (2)   Section 103, on pages 1 and 2 thereof, is hereby amended in conformity with the provisions thereof attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in which all of the language thereof in the 2006 IPMC is deleted and a new § 103.1 is substituted for the deleted § 103.1
      (3)   Section 106, on page 3 thereof, is hereby amended in conformity with the provisions thereof attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in which all of the language thereof in each section of the 2006 IPMC is deleted and new sections are substituted for the deleted sections.
      (4)   Section 107, on page 3 thereof, is hereby amended in conformity with the provisions thereof attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in which all of the language thereof in each section of the 2006 IPMC is deleted and new §§ 107.1, 107.2 and 107.3 are substituted for the deleted sections.
      (5)   Section 111, on page 3 thereof, is hereby amended in conformity with the provisions thereof attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in which all of the language thereof in each section of the 2006 IPMC is deleted and a new § 111 is substituted for the deleted sections.
      (6)   Section 202, on pages 7 and 8 thereof, is hereby amended in conformity with the provisions thereof attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in which the definition of the word “person” is deleted and a new definition is substituted for the deleted definition.
      (7)   Section 304.14, on page 10 thereof, is hereby amended in conformity with the provisions thereof attached hereto and incorporated by reference, in which the words “[DATE] to [DATE]” are deleted and the words: “the first day of April to the first day of November each year” are substituted for the deleted words.
      (8)   Section 306.1 is hereby amended in conformity with the provisions thereof attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in which all of the provisions thereof are deleted.
      (9)   Section 602.3, on page 17 thereof, is hereby amended in conformity with the provisions thereof attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in which the words “[DATE]” to [DATE]” are deleted and the words: “the first day of November to the first day of April each year” are substituted for the deleted words.
      (10)   Section 602.4, on page 17 thereof, is hereby amended in conformity with the provisions thereof attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in which the words “[DATE]” to [DATE]” are deleted and the words: “the first day of November to the first day of April” are substituted for the deleted words.

KENTUCKY BUILDING AND RESIDENTIAL CODES
§ 150.30 ADOPTION OF THE 2018 KENTUCKY BUILDING AND RESIDENTIAL CODES.
   (A)   The City Council hereby adopts and shall enforce the 2018 Kentucky Building Code, promulgated in 815 KAR 7:120 and the 2018 Kentucky Residential Code promulgated in 815 KAR 7:125 by the Board of Housing, Buildings and Construction, Commonwealth of Kentucky, as though set forth fully herein.
   (B)   The City of Erlanger shall also adopt:
      (1)   2015 International Building Code (IBC) with 2018 Kentucky Building Code (KBC) amendments;
      (2)   2015 International Residential Code (IRC) with 2018 Kentucky Residential Code (KRC) amendments;
      (3)   2012 NFPA 54 Fuel Gas Code;
      (4)   2015 International Mechanical Code with 2018 Kentucky Building Code amendments;
      (5)   2009 International Energy Compliance Code for use with 2015 IRC/2018 KRC only; and
      (6)   2012 International Energy Compliance Code for use with the 2015 IBC/2018 KBC only.

§ 150.31 DESIGNATED ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.
   The City Council designates the city’s General Government Department as the local enforcement agent/agency for said Kentucky Building Code and Kentucky Residential Code. All Building Code inspections shall be performed by persons certified by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction. All electrical inspections shall be performed by persons certified by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction as an electrical inspector. City employees and/or contractors, holding credentials as set forth herein, may perform inspections.
