§ 71.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Nobody shall conspire, cause, permit, promote, allow, aid, assist, encourage, or engage in any violation of any provision of this chapter; and each and every such violation, unless otherwise stated, shall be a misdemeanor for which everybody convicted thereof in a court of competent jurisdiction shall be sentenced to pay a criminal fine not to exceed the maximum amount of $500 as set forth in KRS 534.050(2)(a), unless a different fine for that violation is prescribed by another statute, in which event the fine shall be that prescribed by that other statute.
   (B)   Regulations other than parking regulations. Each violation and every other failure to comply with the provisions of any executive order promulgated pursuant to §§ 71.05 and 71.06 other than motor vehicle parking regulations shall be a misdemeanor, for which everybody convicted thereof, in a court of competent jurisdiction, shall be sentenced to pay a criminal fine, not to exceed the maximum amount of $500 as set forth in KRS 534.040(2)(a) or a term of imprisonment not to exceed the maximum period of 12 months as set forth in KRS 532.090(1), or both.
   (C)   Parking regulations. Each violation and every other failure to comply with the provisions of any executive order promulgated pursuant to §§ 71.05 and 71.06 that is a motor vehicle parking regulation shall be a separate offense for which the civil penalty authorized by KRS 82.600 to 82.640 shall be $20, which shall be doubled in the event that the citation is not paid or otherwise responded to pursuant to KRS 82.615 within seven days after the citation.
