There is hereby created and established a Planning Commission which shall consist of seven members as hereinafter provided. The Mayor, Safety-Service Director or his/her designee and a member of the Parks and Recreation Board, as determined by said Board, shall be members of the Planning Commission. In addition to the members hereinabove provided, there shall be four citizen members of the Planning Commission who shall be appointed by the Mayor, who shall be qualified electors of the City and shall not hold any other office or employment with the City. The four citizen members shall serve for terms of six years; however, the first appointment of citizen members of the Commission by the Mayor under this Charter shall be as follows: one of such members shall be appointed for a two year term; and two of such members shall be appointed for a six year term; and thereafter each citizen member shall be appointed for a six year term and shall continue in office until his successor is appointed.
