§ 154.04 HOW TO USE THIS CHAPTER.
   (A)   The Building and Zoning Administrator or the village’s designated representative shall be responsible for fulfilling all of the duties listed in § 154.05 below.
   (B)   To fulfill those duties, the Building and Zoning Administrator or the village’s designated representative should first use the criteria listed in § 154.06 below, to determine whether the development site is located within a floodplain.
   (C)   Once it has been determined that a site is located within a floodplain, the Building and Zoning Administrator or the village’s designated representative must determine whether the development site is within a flood fringe, a designated floodway, or within a SFHA or floodplain for which no floodway has been identified.
      (1)   If the site is within a flood fringe, the Building and Zoning Administrator or the village’s designated representative shall mandate that the minimum requirements of § 154.07 be met.
      (2)   If the site is within a floodway, the Building and Zoning Administrator or the village’s designated representative shall mandate that the minimum requirements of § 154.08 be met.
      (3)   If the site is located within a SFHA or floodplain for which no detailed study has been completed and approved, the Building and Zoning Administrator or the village’s designated representative shall mandate that the minimum requirements of § 154.09 be met.
   (D)   In addition, the general requirements of § 154.10 shall be met for all developments meeting the requirements of §§ 154.07, 154.08 or 154.09.
   (E)   The Building and Zoning Administrator or the village’s designated representative shall assure that all subdivision proposals shall meet the requirements of § 154.10.
   (F)   If a variance is to be granted for a proposal, the Building and Zoning Administrator or the village’s designated representative shall review the requirements of § 154.12 to make sure compliance is achieved. In addition, the Building and Zoning Administrator or the village’s designated representative shall complete all notification requirements.
   (G)   In order to assure that property owners obtain permits as mandated in this chapter, the Building and Zoning Administrator or the village’s designated representative may take any and all actions as outlined in § 154.14.
