Single-phase service entrance conductors and service equipment shall have a rated capacity of not less than 100 amperes for each individual installation, except installations having only one two-wire branch circuit. For installations having only one two-wire branch circuit, the capacity of the service entrance conductors shall be not less than forty amperes (wire size not smaller than No. 8 copper or equivalent) and the capacity of the service equipment shall be not less than thirty amperes.
