(a) All customers who are responsible for payment of electric bills rendered for service shall provide the following: a copy of the deed showing ownership of property or an agreement to purchase the property before electric service is supplied. The application will indicate the type of electric service to be supplied (domestic, residential heat rate, small power, large power Schedule C-2, or industrial primary). Customers shall be provided a copy of the rules and regulations governing electric service.

(b) Right to Reject Application. The Borough reserves the right to reject, for any valid reason, any application. The Borough may require contracts for a suitable period of time and reasonable guarantees when unusual construction or equipment expense is necessary to furnish the service.
(c) Identification Required. All persons opening an account with the Borough for electric service shall provide identification, such as a driver's license, Social Security number or other acceptable identification, to the Borough.
(d) Responsibility of Lessees. Any person who does not own the property for which he or she is applying for service must provide the Borough with a copy of his or her lease agreement, which shall include the name, address and telephone number of the owner of the property. If no written lease exists, the owner of the property must sign a notarized statement that the applicant is the authorized lessee of the property.
(e) Signature on Application. The application form for electric service shall be signed by all persons applying for such service in the Borough. Such form shall be as authorized by Council from time to time.
