1024.06   PERMIT EXPIRATION; TEMPORARY RESTORATION OR RESURFACING; EXTENSIONS.
Unless otherwise stated in the permit, every permit shall expire twenty-four hours after commencement of the work, unless a permittee temporarily restores and/or resurfaces an opening in accordance with Section 1024.14. A permittee shall return within thirty days to permanently restore and/or resurface such opening in accordance with Section 1024.14 without further permit. If the permittee does not complete the work within the specified time, he or she shall, prior to expiration of the permit, present in writing to the Director a request for an extension of time, setting forth therein the reasons for the requested extension. If, in the opinion of the Director, such an extension is necessary and not contrary to the public interest, the permittee may be granted additional time for the completion of the work.
