EDITOR'S NOTE: This chapter has been established to provide a synopsis of legislation relating to the creation of authorities.
The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Ellwood City. Under the provisions of the Act of June 28, 1935 (P.L. 463), as amended, the Municipal Authority of the Borough of Ellwood City, County of Lawrence, Pennsylvania, was created by Ordinance 1045, passed May 5, 1942.
Ellwood City Hospital Authority. Under the provisions of the Municipal Authorities Act, being the Act of May 2, 1945 (P.L. 382), as amended, the Ellwood City Hospital Authority was created by Ordinance 1667, passed April 18, 1972. The Authority was terminated by Res. 2002-13, passed July 15, 2002.
Ellwood City Parking Authority. Under the provisions of the Parking Authority Law, being the Act of June 5, 1947 (P.L. 458), as amended, the Ellwood City Parking Authority was created by Ordinance 1888, passed April 9, 1979. The Authority was terminated by Resolution 2002-12, passed July 15, 2002.
Ellwood Area Family "Y" Authority. Under the provisions of the Municipal Authorities Act, being the Act of May 2, 1945 (P.L. 382), as amended, the Ellwood Area Family "Y" Authority was created by Ordinance 1951-A, passed May 9, 1984.
Ellwood City Economic Development Authority. Under the provisions of the Municipal Authorities Act, being the Act of May 2, 1945 (P.L. 382), as amended, the Ellwood City Economic Development Authority was created by Ordinance 1977, passed August 9, 1989.
