(A) (1) Police Alliance members must, within six months of appointment, successfully complete training in the following subjects: criminal and traffic law, firearms, and cuffing, baton, and defensive tactics.
(2) The Town Marshal may, at his or her discretion, establish additional training requirements, provided those requirements are applied uniformly.
(B) A Police Alliance member shall not carry a sidearm until he or she has successfully completed training in firearms and has qualified on the firing range under supervision of a certified firearms instructor.
