(A) Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any provision of this code for which another penalty is not specifically provided shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not exceeding $2,500. A separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each day during which a violation occurs or continues.
(B) If a person violates a provision of this code and the violation is not specifically designated, defined, or classified as an ordinance violation, the person commits a class E ordinance violation.

(C) If a person violates a provision of this code and while the class of violation is specifically designated but the fine is not specifically designated, then the fine shall be the maximum fine for that designated class of violation which is provided by subsection (D)(1) below.
(D) (1) For a violation of this code or any ordinance of the Town of Ellettsville, a judgment or fine of not more than:
(a) $2,500 may be entered for a violation constituting a class A ordinance violation;
(b) $1,000 may be entered for a violation constituting a class B ordinance violation;
(c) $500 may be entered for a violation constituting a class C ordinance violation;
(d) $100 may be entered for a violation constituting a class D ordinance violation; and
(e) $25 may be entered for a violation constituting a class E ordinance violation.
(2) For a violation of this code or any ordinance of the Town of Ellettsville:
(a) The judgment or fine authorized in division (C)(1) above;
(b) All other penalties, judgments, and liabilities authorized by this code, ordinances of the Town of Ellettsville, and statutes of this state; or
(c) both; may be entered or applied.
(3) Repeat offenses shall cause the classification of that violation to increase one level of seriousness, except in the instance of class A ordinance violations. A repeat offense occurs when a citizen is cited for an ordinance violation when that citizen has previously been cited for the same type of violation within one year from the date of the current citation.
