12-3-3: ALLEYS:
   A.   Alleys Or Easements Required; Exception: Alleys or easements (as directed by the planning commission) shall be provided in all subdivisions, except that the planning commission may waive this requirement in commercial and industrial districts, where other definite and assured provisions are made for service access, such as off street loading, unloading and parking, consistent with and adequate for, the uses proposed.
   B.   Alley Width:
      1.   Residential Areas: Alleys or easements for residential areas shall not be less than twenty feet (20') in width.
      2.   Commercial And Industrial Areas: Alleys serving commercial and industrial areas shall not be less than thirty feet (30') in width.
   C.   Intersections, Alignment: Alley intersections and sharp changes in alignment shall be avoided, but where necessary, corners shall permit safe vehicular movement.
   D.   Dead End Alleys: Dead end alleys shall be avoided where possible, but if unavoidable, shall be provided with adequate turnaround facilities at the dead end, as determined by the planning commission. (Ord. 1-10-85, 1-10-1985, eff. 2-10-1985)
