Every person who violates any provision of this title, or of any ordinance, code or standard adopted by this title, or maintains or permits to continue any situation defined by this title as unlawful shall be guilty of an offense and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in any amount not to exceed the limits established in section 1-4-2 of this code. Every day upon which a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense. (1991 Code § 16-200)
