8-1-10: INTERFERENCE WITH HYDRANTS; DAMAGING UTILITY SYSTEM:
   A.   Fire Hydrants:
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any person to turn on or off any fire hydrant, stop valve or stopcock belonging to the city, or to attach any hose pipe or any apparatus to any such hydrant without having secured from the Public Works Superintendent written permission specifying the purpose and conditions for such use, and complying with the conditions for such use.
      2.   It shall be unlawful for any person to, in any manner, obstruct access to any fire hydrant belonging to the city.
   B.   Tampering With Equipment Of Utility Systems: It shall be unlawful for any person to damage, destroy or tamper with any pipes, lines, meters or other equipment or property which is a part of a municipal utility system. (1991 Code § 16-135; amd. Ord. 22-37, 10-11-2022)
