(A) Every person or owner in possession of any lot shall cut down within four inches of the ground all weeds, grass or other noxious growth from the lot or lots whenever the growth reaches ten inches.
(B) If the weeds, grass or other noxious growth are not cut down whenever height reaches ten inches, the town may cause the weeds, grass or other noxious growth to be cut down at the rate of $250, plus the town’s actual costs. These fees and charges will be collected as in the manner for other town taxes (per G.S. § 160A-193). The property owners shall be notified prior to cutting of their respective lots.
(C) Costs to repair town equipment that may be damaged as a result of the town abating noxious growths on private property shall be charged to the property owner and collected as in the manner for other city taxes.
