Pursuant to Section 4.14 of the City Charter, there is hereby adopted by and for the City the most current version of the International Residential Code for One and Two Family Dwellings (IRC) (presently the 2009 IRC for One and Two Family Dwellings). The purpose of such Code is to provide standards for the fabrication, erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, location and use of detached one, two and three-family dwellings, their appurtenances and accessory structures, and to provide for the issuance of permits and the imposition of penalties for violations of such Code.

A complete copy of the current IRC, as adopted in Section 1430.01, is on file with the Clerk of Council for inspection by the public and a complete copy is also on file in the County Law Library. In addition, the Clerk of Council has copies available for distribution to the public, at cost.
