391.14 DUTY TO STOP AFTER ACCIDENT.
   In case of accident to or collision with persons or property within a shopping center or upon any public grounds, including buildings and traffic control devices, due to the driving or operation of any vehicle, the person so operating such vehicle having knowledge of such accident or collision, shall stop and forthwith notify the Police Division of the accident. Upon the request of an injured person, or any person, the operator of the motor vehicle involved in the accident, shall give such person his name and address, the name and address of the owner of such vehicle and the registered number of such vehicle. The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in damage to property shall immediately stop and take reasonable steps to locate and notify the owner or person in charge of such property of such accident or collision, and give his name and address, the name and address of the owner of such vehicle and the registration number of such vehicle. In the event the owner or person in charge of such property cannot be located after reasonable steps, the driver of such vehicle, within twenty-four hours after such accident, shall give the Police Division the same information required to be given to the owner or person in charge of such property, together with the location of the accident resulting in damage to a traffic control device.
